On The Rock Martial Arts, exists to help men, women, and children build confidence, community, and skills to protect themselves and their families if or when needed. We do this to ensure our students are respectful, disciplined, and strive to become outstanding community members. We want our students to continue to make themselves better men, women, and children while enriching their communities.
In training, we teach to develop discipline, focus, and self-control, which can be useful in both personal and professional life. We desire to teach our students the meaning of integrity by modeling integrity and doing the right thing even when no one is loooking. Martial Arts can also provide a good workout and help to improve overall fitness, strength, and flexibility.
At On The Rock Martial Arts, we offer the Hawaiian art of Kajukenbo, the Chinese art of Hung Fut Kung Fu and Boxing. If you have any questions please reach out to us, we would love to speak with you.
Martial arts is more than kicks and punches. It is a pathway to discipline, confidence, and lifelong growth. Whether you're a parent looking to empower your child, a teen searching for focus, or an adult seeking fitness and purpose, martial arts offers something for everyone.
✅ Fitness & Self-Defense – Build strength, stamina, flexibility, and learn how to protect yourself and others.
✅ Confidence & Discipline – Set goals, earn achievements, and grow in self-respect and resilience.
✅ Character & Leadership – Learn respect, humility, and how to overcome obstacles—lessons that apply in school, work, and life.
✅ Community – Train in a supportive, encouraging environment where people grow together.
Martial arts is a lifestyle of excellence, not violence. It teaches control, not aggression—purpose, not pride. For children, it gives structure. For teens, direction. For adults, clarity. For everyone, it offers a lifelong journey of self-mastery.
If you're ready to take that first step—or help someone else take theirs—we'd love to welcome you to our martial arts ohana (family).

The Ordonez Kajukenbo Ohana (OKO) was formed to perpetuate the art of Kajukenbo self-defense through honoring the legacy of Kajukenbo co-founder Uncle Frank Ordonez. The OKO was founded on February 15, 2008 and is comprised of those who have been promoted by Uncle Frank but is open to all ranks and styles. The OKO holds annual seminars and tournaments commemorating Uncle Frank's birthday.
Kajukenbo began in 1947 at the Palama Settlement on Oahu, Hawaii. The arts origins can be traced back to the "Black Belt Society", a group of five martial artists from different martial arts backgrounds who met to train and learn with each other. The founders wanted to develop an art that was useful on the street, and in the late 1940s. Kajukenbo has evolved over the years and has even seen success in MMA as well as the street.
Hung Fut Kung Fu, a southern Chinese martial art style, was created nearly 400 years ago at the Southern Shaolin Temple in China’s Fujian province by Lee Jo Fuen, known as Shaolin Buddhist Master Wun Lei, a Shaolin monk and Kung Fu grandmaster. The style is a hybrid of Hung Gar (Hung Fist) and Fut Gar (Buddhist Palm), two southern Chinese systems of Kung Fu. Wun Lei was a Buddhist palm master and a student of the great Hung Kuen founder, Hung Hei Gung.
Having the full knowledge of both these systems to draw from, Wun Lei combined the low, strong stances and ferocious hand techniques of Hung Fist (a hard style) with the dynamic, internal movements of Fut Jeung (a soft style) to create a new style, aptly named Hung Fut. The Hung Fut System is thereby, a style unique in its incorporation of linear, circular, and angular techniques, which results in movements that are powerful and explosive, hard to predict for opponents yet precise, flowing, and without unnatural rigidity.
Boxing is a combat sport and form of physical training that focuses on striking techniques using the fists, combined with effective movement, defense, and strategy. It emphasizes coordination, timing, and control, making it both a physical and mental discipline.
In boxing, students learn proper stance, footwork, and punching form while developing balance, agility, and endurance. Training also includes defensive skills such as slipping, blocking, and countering. Beyond technique, boxing promotes discipline, focus, and self-confidence, helping students build not only physical strength but also mental resilience.
Boxing is suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. It can be practiced for sport, fitness, or self-defense, offering a challenging and rewarding way to improve overall health and personal growth.
Come learn from one of the best. A trainer of champions, amateurs, and enthusists of all levels.
